Raczynski-Henk, Yannick (Drs.)

Yannick Raczynski-Henk (1972) studied Prehistoric archaeology at Leiden University with a special focus on Middle Palaeolithic open air sites in the loess area of Limburg (Netherlands) and the adjoining areas. Since 2003 he works as a geoarchaeologist in the Netherlands, predominantly in the littoral zone of the Dutch Holocene landscapes.

Raemaekers, Daan (Prof. Dr.)

Daan Raemaekers is full professor of archaeology of northwestern Europe at the Groningen Institute of Archaeology, University of Groningen. He obtained his PhD on the role of the Swifterbant culture in the transition to farming in northwestern Europe from Leiden University in 1999. In the period 1998-2002, he worked as project manager at RAAP Archaeological Consultancy and was involved in numerous developer-led projects in the province of Flevoland. He was appointed full professor at the University of Groningen in 2002.

Raimondi Cominesi, Aurora (Dr.)

Aurora Raimondi Cominesi is project curator at the Rijksmuseum van Oudheden in Leiden. In 2019, she obtained her doctoral degree at Radboud University (Nijmegen, The Netherlands) with a dissertation titled The Past on the Wall. Anchoring Innovation in the Decoration and Architecture of the Imperial Residences on the Palatine. Her research focuses on mural paintings, domestic and public architecture, and includes studies on the Roman villas at Stabiae. She also has an interest in the digital challenges faced by museums today; she co-edited the guide (in Italian) Comunicare la cultura online: una guida pratica per i musei. Progettazione di siti web, content management, social media e analisi dei risultati.

Rassmann, Knut (Dr.)

Knut Rassmann is a researcher at the German Archaeological Institute and head of the Department of Survey and Excavation Methodology at the German Archaeological Institute. Previously he was Scientific Editor for the Bericht der Römisch-Germanischen Kommission (RGK). He obtained his PhD in 1991 at the Freie Universität Berlin. His main interests are landscape archaeology, survey and excavation methodology, and the Neolithic, Copper Age and Bronze Age in Europe.

Raven, Maarten J. (Prof. dr.)

Maarten J. Raven worked as Curator of the Egyptian Department of the Rijksmuseum van Oudheden (National Museum of Antiquities) at Leiden, The Netherlands, from 1978 to 2018, and is now honorary research associate of that institution. In this capacity he organized numerous exhibitions, especially on the Leiden papyrus collection, mummy research, Dutch excavations in Egypt, and Egyptian magic. He was also responsible for the new display of the Egyptian collection (2016). He wrote numerous books and articles on egyptological subjects, and was also active as tour conductor and lecturer. His special interests include the history of egyptology, egyptomania, and ancient Egyptian technology and symbolism. From 2012 to 2018, he was extraordinary professor for the museology of Ancient Egypt at Leiden State University.

Reeve, Anna (Dr.)

Anna Reeve is an Early Career Research Associate in the Institute of Classical Studies at the University of London. Her PhD from the University of Leeds examined the ancient Cypriot collection belonging to Leeds Museums and Galleries, tracing object itineraries and connecting them to local and global histories. She has published articles in journals and edited volumes on individual local collections of Cypriot antiquities in the UK, working with museums and archives to investigate their histories, and continues to work with colleagues to identify and explore such collections and their routes from Cyprus to the museum.
